Each mezzaluna is made of either kitchen grade stainless steel or hand forged Damascus steel with an exotic custom hand crafted handle. Stainless is more suited for the professional world and the kitchen, stainless is chosen for its high resistance to corrosion from acids
Damascus is more of an “art steel” as it is all hand crafted and forged into its own unique patterns. Uniquely crafted to feature exotic handle materials like mammoth, cholla with turquoise inlay, elk, and caribou antler, each one is hand crafted and finished by the maker himself including materials hand dug and sourced by him as well. Damascus in the kitchen requires just a few extra clean up steps, waxing and oiling the blade and wiping them down clean as they are not to be put in the dish washer or submerged in water. These mezzalunas are talking pieces and are always a hit in social gatherings.
Pick from two styles:
The Rocker- 14” blade, handles on both ends, has curved rocking blade.
The Chopper- 14” blade, handles are on the spine and is center addressed, slight curve in the blade.
